Engineer/Scientist

Overview:
CAI has an immediate opportunity for an experienced electro-optical (EO) Engineer or Scientist. The position will support CAI’s involvement with the technology advancement of sensors for space exploration.

Responsibilities:
  • Test and integrate fiber optic laser radar systems.
  • Test and evaluate 3-Dimensional imaging LADAR systems.
  • Provide EO system improvements.
  • Perform experimental sensor and component validation and prediction.
  • Interact with NASA or DoD customers.
  • Assist in report and proposal preparations.
  • Adhere to security requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of M.S. in Engineering, or Physics.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience.
  • Hands on, experimental experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to hold a security clearance.

Senior Electronics Engineering Technician

Overview:

CAI has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician. The position will support CAI’s involvement with the technology advancement of sensors for earth and space exploration. Electronics Engineering Technicians will work very closely with system Engineers and Scientists.

Responsibilities:
  • Layout and integrate digital and analog electronic components.
  • Build, modify and test prototypes such as receiver systems, test equipment, and experimental support components.
  • Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with sensor Engineers and Scientists.
  • Develop schematics, graphs, charts, and/or diagrams that describe and illustrate systems’ design specifications, operating characteristics, malfunctions, functional limitations, and deviations from design goals.
  • Maintain and organize detailed records of developed components.
  • Interact with NASA or DoD customers.
  • Adhere to security requirements.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years experience is required.
  • Hands on, SMT layout and integration experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to hold a security clearance.
